Latest news....We're NOT in Malta!
Although the cancellation of our Malta trip has been disappointing we are trying
to look on the bright side. It could have been far worse and at least we didn't
actually get as far as leaving for the airports on Friday. (It ought to be
mentioned that there are some that think that Tony's Tours must have been
responsible for this hiccough though!)
The weekend started very fraught with phone calls flying everywhere. We watched
every possible news bulletin in the hope that somehow we would manage to go
after all. Once it was clear that we wouldn't be going anywhere at least we
could start on the business of trying to get everyone's refunds organised. Thank
you to all of you who were booked to come with us for your patience while we
wait to hear back from the airline and the hotel.
We are considering rescheduling the trip for the beginning of November. If you
are interested let us know.
In the mean time
We're here and the weather here is wonderful - and Abercastle is just crying out
to be dived. Jen and Bob dived at the weekend and enjoyed 7-8m vis!
- it might not be Malta but it will be a lot less hassle than trying to get
anywhere else abroad!! We do currently have some space available this Saturday
and Sunday. If you fancy a dip don't hesitate to give us a ring.
Easter
Should have been a busy time for us with Sarah coming to visit from Dorset but
the weather had other ideas.
With conditions like this it was impossible to guarantee that any diving would
be possible. Who would have guessed that after all of this on Wednesday...
...that Saturday would dawn bright and sunny with flat calm seas!!
While most of the diving over Easter weekend had to be cancelled,
congratulations go to Mena and Nigel for completing their Rescue diver course.
Well done to Alice who seemed to thoroughly enjoy her dry suit course and
spotted an octopus too. The vis was incredible considering we went out only days
after the storms.
We had glorious weather the weekend after Easter and the diving didn't
disappoint at all. We even found a naked sponge crab!!
Since the last newsletter Ann has completed the BSAC Instructor Foundation
Course so is now an Assistant Diving Instructor as well as a PADI DM and DUP
Instructor.
Maldives
Apologies for the error in the Maldives Newsletter - the proof reader missed the
deliberate mistake! The dates should have read 10th October - 20th
October.
We can confirm that this trip is going to go ahead and currently we have two
spaces still available. If you would like more information please email HERE
Don't forget...
We now have several courses booked in over the next few weeks so it is not too
soon to be thinking about contacting us if you have particular dates in
mind. PADI or BSAC courses, boat hire or escorted dives we don't mind but just
let us know when you want to come!
